Heifer Calf

On this page, we would like to show you how our dairy farm operates and the system which our cattle are reared on. When we have a new born calf, he or she is fed her mothers milk for the first few days. This milk is called colostrum. The calves are then moved from individual calf pens into the newly purpose built accommodation. Here they are reared on an automatic, computerised calf machine for the first 8 weeks of life. One day, hopefully this calf will be part of the dairy herd.
