Once the young calves are old enough, they leave the calf rearing shed and enter the cubicle training shed. Here they learn to lye down on the sawdusted beds which are cleaned down each day. We then scrape the passage on which they stand every few days with the tractor and scraper. The cattle put their heads through the diagonal barrier so that each animal has its own space to eat.
